Stock-paired tokens explained

A quote asset is simply what a token is priced in. Choosing a tokenized stock instead of SOL changes what your position is really exposed to.

Short answer

A stock-paired token trades in a pool whose other side is a tokenized equity, such as an xStock. Your token's quoted price is expressed in units of that equity token, so its USD value moves with both your token and the stock behind it. It gives you no shares, no dividends and no voting rights.

What the quote asset actually does

Every pool has two sides. The quote asset is the unit of account: in a SOL pool a price of 0.0001 means 0.0001 SOL per token. In a pool quoted against a tokenized S&P 500 product, the same number means 0.0001 of that product per token. Nothing about the issuing company enters the arrangement — the pool only knows two token balances.

A worked example

Say a token trades at 0.002 stock-tokens each, and the stock token is worth $500. Your token is worth $1.00. If the token's ratio holds but the stock falls 10% to $450, your token is worth $0.90 without a single trade in your own market. If the stock holds and your token's ratio doubles to 0.004, it is worth $2.00. Both legs move you, which is exactly what pairing means: two sources of gain and two sources of loss.

No ownership, no dividends, no rights

Being paired with a tokenized stock is a pricing relationship. It does not make your token a security-backed instrument, does not entitle you to distributions, and creates no relationship with the listed company. Tokenized equity products themselves depend on their issuer honouring redemption — that is counterparty risk sitting underneath your position.

Why would a creator pair against a stock at all?
It creates a narrative and a market that behaves differently from every SOL-quoted launch, and it gives traders a way to express an opinion on a token relative to an equity rather than relative to crypto.
Is the pool liquid when the stock market is closed?
The pool itself trades continuously, but the tokenized equity's own pricing and redemption mechanics may follow market hours. Expect wider spreads outside them.
Where can I see live pairs?
On the platform's board. Our usage guide explains the filters.
